I stumbled across these colorful cube lanterns at CB2 at the beginning of the summer and wanted a few for the back yard, but didn't really want to shell out the money for a set of 3 plus shipping and handling. So naturally I decided to try my hand at DIYing them and I was actually very happy with how they turned out. I will forewarn that they take some patience and time if you make 3 of them, but I really had a lot of fun with this project. Perhaps it was all the reminiscing of creating things with popsicle sticks as a child- this project started to feel like that after a while.
