what is farm fresh therapy?

Last month Kiel and I took a day trip to Amish Country. We met some interesting people (more to come on one great guy later) and it got me thinking about the name Farm Fresh Therapy, and my mission for blogging.

The name of this blog evolved over time, starting out as Farm Fresh Modern, a play on words with Kiel's old company Modern Farm Furniture. In an attempt to decrease confusion of the sites, and to begin to integrate my nursing health & wellness background, I changed the name to Farm Fresh Therapy. As time has passed, the local scene has grown huge in Columbus. With the trending of local farmers' markets, handmade goods, and emphasis on buying and supporting local, I strive to support our community and the mission to source locally. I have integrated this into the blog by sharing new local vendors and establishing relationships with others that are supplying and buying local- from home goods to fresh vegetables. Not only does this lead to sustainability and stimulation of our local economy, it also promotes healthy living.

As this blog also serves as my creative outlet (a place to share my dabbling in vintage photography, silly DIYs, and my occasional damn-I'm-proud home projects), I want to inspire myself and others to think outside the box. To live a creative life, to create whenever possible, and to continue to see creativity as a means of wellness.
