When we redid our mudroom a few months ago we threw away our crappy old key rack that we've had since our apartment days. It had been painted over multiple times and wasn't anything to write home about anyways. I knew I wanted to create a fun DIY key rack but it took me a while to get around to it (yeah by a while I mean months... been a bit tired lately). I wanted to keep with something rustic to match the coat rack that we made for the space, but something with a pop of excitement. I was inspired by this gilded and rustic shelving that I pinned for our bedroom makeover, so I made this easy little 1-2-3 rack with a piece of rustic wood and gold painted mini square railroad style nails. This is a super simple one and pretty self explanatory but see the full instructions over at Homedit!
P.S.- In these photos it is hung in our guest bedroom as it was the only place to get a good photo (the mudroom is a bit dark!). We ended up using screws to attach it to the wall in our mudroom so the way you hang it is totally optional!
