The weather for the past few months in Columbus has been just about perfect. We have had a gorgeous Indian summer with temps in the mid 70's almost every day. This has made the PERFECT dining weather. After propping open a plastic banquet table on the front porch to accommodate dining again and again, we partnered with our friends over at Industrial by Design to create a simple outdoor dining table! I really wanted a tulip style table at first but after thinking through some things (like where we will store this thing during the winter) I am thrilled with this simple blonde wood and raw steel hairpin leg table. AND it was so simple to make! Kiel created the wood table top by gluing some leftover wood together into a simple square (you could easily have square piece of plywood cut or seek out a local wood worker to create your own top). We then added the hairpin legs with short screws (so that you don't puncture through the top- see the photos below for the simple tutorial).
This table goes with our hodge podge chairs and will definitely last us through the winter (our porch is covered and gets very little rain or snow during adverse weather). It's also giving me all the autumn vibes. We've been loving intimate cool evening meals with the family out on this table!
