Our playroom/ family room has been in an identity crisis for the past few years. I'm not sure if its the constant change we have been experiencing as a family (that requires constant change of utilization of this room) or if its that I just can't make up my damn mind. The past month or so I have been trying out more of the rustic modern vibe and I can't quite decide yet if its "us" or not. But in the meantime, we have at least 1 sofa and side table remaining so that the room is at least partly functional (anyone else have the urge to sell of everything in a room on a whim like I do?! Doesn't your significant other love it?!).
Anyways, we were sans furniture for a while so I put together this wood slab side table with hairpin legs for a quick fix. The hardest part of this project is sourcing the items (our slab was cut from a tree stump we had in the backyard by Kiel and hairpin legs were sourced from our local hairpinlegs.com of course). Otherwise, it's a fairly simple project that looks pretty high end. See the full tutorial to make your own over on Homedit! And if you make your own, take a picture and share it with us on social media. I think this project can be done in so many variations (different sizes and shapes of the tops, colors and lengths for the legs etc), Would love to see yours!
